KABUL: The Acting Minister of Water and Energy Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour, during his trip to Ghazni inaugurated 10 check dams worth 40 million Afghanis (some 556,000 US Dollars dollars), the ministry said in a statement.
During inauguration of the check dams the acting Minister Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour, said that efforts are underway to implement more development projects, in accordance to the available sources in province.
The check dams were constructed for the restoration of rainfalls, preventing floods and enhancing underground waters, said the statement.
