FAIZABAD: As a result of flash floods ten members of a family lost their lives in Badakhshan province, said local officials of the province.
The incident took place on Saturday night, in the Morchi village of Badakhshan province.
The provincial head of the National Disaster Management Department Mohammad Akram Akbari, confirmed the incident and said that their dead bodies are still missing.
He added that efforts are underway to locate the victims’ bodies.
The recent rainfalls inflicted heavy financial and human losses in some provinces of the country.
