Housing Minister urges China to invest in New Kabul Project

KABUL: The acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing Shaikh Hamdullah Nomani, in a meeting with Zhao Xing, the Chinese ambassador to Kabul, urged them to invest in the New Kabul City project, the ministry said in a statement.

According to the statement, in the meeting, Shaikh Nomani said that 1,400 residential units are being built in the Nila Bagh project in Kabul, and another 10,000 residential units will be built in the New Kabul City project.

Minister Nomani asked the Chinese government for investment in the New Kabul City project, stating that it would be influential in strengthening the relations between Kabul and Beijing.

Meanwhile, Zhao Xing, the Chinese ambassador to Kabul, expressed hope that the construction work on the Nila Bagh project will be completed on time.

He also said that he hopes that after sharing information about the New Kabul City project, Chinese investors will be interested in investing in the project.

“Completion of China’s development projects in Afghanistan will be a good start for the future relations between the two countries.

It is mentionable that the Nilga Bagh project is one of the construction projects in the capital Kabul, in which 1,400 residential units will be built with Chinese investment.
