KABUL: The Border Security personnel of the 302rd Mansouri Army Corps of the Islamic Emirate discovered and sized a cache of various kinds of weapons and heavy amounts of ammunition in Paktika province, the Ministry of National Defense said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement, during a series of clearance operations by security personnel of 203rd Mansoori Army Corps, various weapons including 21 Kalashnikovs, 1 M4, 3 Russian PK machine guns, 9 rockets, 1 Zikvik, 1 mortar, one 82 Artillery, 34 rocket shells, 8 mortar shells, 8 boxes of Zikvik shells, 9 hand grenades, 5 communication radios, 2 binoculars, and 24 ammunition vests, have been discovered and seized in Barmal district of the province.
The Islamic Emirate’s defense and security forces are working around the clock to provide security and thwart any destabilizing action within the country.
