Minister Omari calls for China’s cooperation in agriculture sectors

KABUL: The acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has called for China’s cooperation in agriculture and livestock sectors in the country, the ministry said in a statement.

He made the remarks in a meeting with the Chinese ambassador to Kabul Zhao Xing, here in his office, said the statement.

Sharing information with Ambassador Xing about the activities and achievements of the ministry, Mawlavi Omari said that Afghanistan is a mainly agricultural country and its agriculture is progressing traditionally.

With the efforts of the ministry farmers will be provided with advanced agricultural technologies, said Minister Omari

He also emphasized the need for farmers to adopt alternative crops and regulate water on the farms.

Chinese ambassador to Kabul has also shared the activities carried out by his country in the mining, industry and other sectors in Afghanistan with the agriculture minister.
