For the first Cardiac Surgical Ward inaugurated in 400-bed hospital

KABUL: The Ministry of National Defenses said in a statement today, that for the first time a Cardiac Surgical Ward, in an official ceremony has been inaugurated in Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan Hospital (400-bed hospital.
According to the statement, the ceremony was attended by Shaikh Mohammad Qasim Farid, Deputy Director of Planning and Policy of the ministry and several officials of the health command of the armed forces.
Shaikh Farid said that as a result of efforts made by the ministry, many complex operations are successfully implemented at the level of neighboring countries in the hospital, according to the statement.
According to the statement, various heart diseases are being treated in this department, also, a few days ago, a center for the implantation of artificial human organs was inaugurated in the hospital.
With the Islamic Emirate takeover and with the special attention of the Ministry of National Defense, the hospital has been equipped and the beds have become more standardized than before.
