KABUL: The office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, in a statement on his X account today, expressed sympathy with the victims of the sinking of a boat in Basol, Momandra district of Nangarhar.
Expressing regret for the incident said that the provincial authorities have been tasked to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident.
It is worth noting that at 7:30 this morning [Saturday], a boat with about 30 people sank in the water in Momandra, Nangarhar, resulting in the martyring of 20 people.
Officials reached on time to the area but still have not succeeded in evacuating all the victims.
