KABUL: The acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met the EU Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas Nicholson, the Deputy Spokesman of Foreign Minisrty Hafiz Zia Ahmad said in a statement on Saturday.
Nicholson has emphasized on the participation of the Islamic Emirate representatives in the third Doha meeting.
He has also shared his observations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, said that the Islamic Emirate is studying the manner of its participation in the 3rd Doha meeting and will reveal its position later.
Mawlavi Muttaqi added that the policy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is based on a balanced and positive interaction with all the countries of the world and wants to meaningfully participate in the third Doha meeting.
It has to be said that the Islamic Emirate has refused symbolic participation in the Doha meetings before.
