KABUL: T20 World Cup 2024, hosted by the United States and the West Indies, began with the first match between the Canadian and American cricket teams.
There are a total of 20 teams in this year’s World Cup, which are divided into 5 groups.
The Afghan team will play their first match the next day (Tuesday, 03 of June) against Uganda.
Officials of the Afghan Cricket Board said that the Afghan team is fully prepared for the games.
The Afghan national cricket team has also announced its 15-member squad under the leadership of Rashid Khan.
This is the 7th time in the history of cricket that the Afghan team has qualified for the World T20 Cup.
