Indonesia seeks to invest in education and mining extraction in Afghanistan

KABUL: leading a delegation the former Vice President and Head of the Indonesian Mosque Council Dr. Mohammad Yosuf Kalla, during his trip to Kabul, in a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Mawalvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, said that they are seeking investment in the education and mining extraction sectors in Afghanistan, Arg said in a statement.

He added that addressing Afghanistan’s existing problems by the Islamic Emirate is a good model for other countries.

Indonesia will provide educational opportunities for Afghan youth in Indonesia, he said, adding that an incorrect image of Afghanistan has been presented in international meetings.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, welcoming Indonesia’s investment in Afghanistan, said that during the past two and a half years, the Islamic Emirate made significant achievements in various fields including ensuring countrywide security, the ban on poppy cultivation, trafficking, production, trade and use, the collection and treatment of addicts, the eradication of administrative corruption, the care of orphans and widows, the management, transfer and relocation of 2 million returned migrants.

There are people who conceal the realities of Afghanistan and convey misinformation to others, he said.

It is worth mentioning that this Indonesian delegation, after arriving in Afghanistan, also met with other officials of the Islamic Emirate, including Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.
