More than 3,000 carats of emeralds sold in Panjsher

BAZARAK: More than 3,000 carats of emeralds worth about $143,000 have been sold in Panjshir, provincial officials confirmed.

The provincial director of Mines and Petroleum Mawlavi Mohammad Qasim Amiri said that 3,215 carats of emeralds through auction have been sold for $143,560 to domestic traders.

It is mentionable that previously, thousands of carats of emeralds were sold to traders through open bidding.
