KABUL: Following the ongoing recognition of Palestine as an independent country, on Tuesday, Slovenia has also joined the list of countries that recognize Palestine as an independent state.
Members of the Slovenian parliament approved the recognition of Palestine as an independent country in a majority vote.
Last week, the Slovenian government announced that it would recognize Palestine as an independent country and sent a bill to the country’s parliament in this regard.
Earlier, other European countries such as Spain, Ireland and Norway had also recognized Palestine as an independent country.
