UNSC removed travel restrictions on top IEA officials

 KABUL: The United Nations Security Council (UNSC), in an unprecedented move, has lifted travel bans on several high-ranking leaders of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

According to UNSC,  the travel restrictions on the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, Acting Minister of Interior Affairs, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Head of the General Directorate of Intelligence, Mullah Abdul Haq Wasiq, and the Acting Minister of Hajj and Islamic Affairs Mawlavi Noor Mohammad Saqib, have been removed. 

The UNSC further added that the Sanctions Committee has removed the travel ban on high-ranking Islamic Emirate leaders to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj pilgrims.

A few days ago, leading a delegation, the acting Minister of Interior Affairs, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, traveled to the United Arab Emirates, where he met with the president of that country.
