KABUL: The European Union said in a statement that it has allocated 150 million euros to overcome the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.
The European Union Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Foundation also said that it has activated the emergency aid fund in order to prevent the threat of famine in Afghanistan. It is said that the resource will be used inside and outside of Afghanistan.
Out of 150 million euros, 126 million euros will be spent in Afghanistan, 11 million euros in Pakistan and another 11 million euros will be spent on the needs of Afghan refugees in Iran.
