Ministers of Education and Higher Education delivered speeches at RHEC in Russia

KABUL: The Acting Ministers of Education Shaikh Habibullah Agha and Higher Education Shaikh Neda Mohammad Nadeem, during their trip to Moscow, delivered speeches at the International Russian Higher Education Conference (RHEC) held in Russia, the ministries said in two separate statements.

Speaking in the ceremony the Acting Minister of Education Shaikh Habibullah Agha appreciated the holding of the RHEC and the invitation of the Islamic Emirate.

He considered such opportunities effective in the exchange of experiences in the education sector among the participating countries, said the statement.

“Afghanistan is a country emerging from 40 years of war and unrest, and its education sector has also been vulnerable during this period,” the statement quoted him as saying.

Meanwhile, the Acting Minister of Higher Education Shaikh Neda Mohammad Nadim, said: “Islam is a sacred and pure religion that encompasses all the needs of life, and the Islamic Emirate also conducts its affairs in the light of the guidance of this sacred religion.”

“Afghanistan has not interfered in the affairs of other countries throughout history, but other countries have always interfered in our internal affairs,” the statement quoted Shaikh Nadeen as saying.

He added that the Islamic Emirate wants to interact with the international community in light of these same guidelines.

A few days ago the Acting Ministers of Education and Higher Education traveled to Russia to participate in the International Russian Higher Education Conference (RHEC).
