KABUL: Six Tajikistani nationals have been arrested by the police in the United States on charges of membership in the ISIS ‘Kharijites’ group, US media reported.
According to the report, as a result of FBI operations, the individuals were arrested from the cities of New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles.
The FBI police have stated that the arrested individuals’ phone conversations were wiretapped and they had been discussing a bomb.
It is said that the arrested individuals also held Russian citizenship.
The governments of Tajikistan and Russia have not yet commented in this regard.
This comes as the perpetrators of the deadly attack in a Moscow suburb hall, which left dozens dead and wounded, were Tajik citizens.
