KABUL: Chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Economic Commission meeting held today, discussed issues on agenda, his office said in a statement.
In the meeting, the construction of the 2nd Surobi dam and the production of 300 megawatts of electricity using gas in Jawzjan province, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum draft, and some other issues were discussed, according to the statement.
The Ministry of Water and Energy has been tasked that after technical discussions with various companies, to share their findings with the commission, said the statement, adding the ministry in collaboration with the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has been tasked to evaluate the production of 300 megawatts of electricity from gas resources in Jawzjan province and share their reports to the next commission meeting.
Also, the draft of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum on sand, foundation stone, and graveling has been sent to the technical commission for further enrichment.
