Fire in Kuwait left about 50 dead

KABUL: At least 49 were killed, after a fire broke out in a residential building of foreign workers in Mangaaf city of Kuwait on Wednesday, security officials of that country confirmed.

Previously, Yousef Al-Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait, had announced the number of fire victims as 41.

So far, no details about the identity of the foreign workers have been provided.

Kuwaiti security forces have begun the process of investigating the cause of the fire after putting it out.

It has been reported that most of the victims of the deadly incident died due to thick smoke and air pollution.

Arab countries host thousands of foreign workers who mostly travel to these countries for work from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Philippines and some other countries.
