Enraged protesters burn man accused of insulting Quran

KABUL: A man accused of insulting the holay Quran was set on fire on Thursday afternoon in Pakistan by enraged protesters, media reported.

According to the police, the man after being accused of insulting the holay Quran, was arrested and transferred into a police station in the Madain market in the Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan.

The enraged protesters stormed the police station, set him on fire, and he was burned in flames in front of everyone.

The reports cite the police stating that eight other protesters were also injured in the fire incident.
