University entry test held in Kabul

KABUL: The National Examinations Authority (NEA) said in a statement on Friday that the entrance test of universities or the general Kankor examination, in an official ceremony, has been kicked off in Kabul,

The ceremony was participated by Shaikh Abdul Baqi Haqqani, the head of the National Examinations Authority, Dr. Osama Aziz, the Chancellor of Kabul University, and several universities’ lectures, the statement said.

Speaking in the ceremony, Shaikh Haqqani called the holding of the Kankor examination an important step for the country’s educational development.

“This is a pleasure place that currently the Afghan youth have been provided with proper training by Afghan and Islamic thought,” the statement quoted Haqqani as saying.

It should be said that the entrance examination of 1403 has been organized in five rounds, the second stage of which was conducted in Kabul on Friday and the third round will start in 10 other provinces next Friday.
