KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement on Monday that for the first time in the country, an exhibition of emeralds extracted from Panjshir mines will be held in Kabul.
“The development of mining and investment attraction, the development of exports of precious and semi-precious stones, the display of handicrafts and the culture of Panjshir province, the development of livestock farming and agricultural products of the province, and the display of medicinal plants and traditional medicine of Panjshir province will be the focus of the exhibition,” said the statement.
According to the statement, the exhibition is scheduled to be held from 20 to 22 of the current solar month.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has asked interested parties to apply for a booth at the exhibition.
After the restoration of the Islamic Emirate, the emeralds of Panjshir province are being extracted and sold through a transparent bidding process.
