KABUL: Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Affairs Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani said on Tuesday, that six people have been arrested by the police in connection with the torturing of a youth in Faryab province.
“Torture of youth in Belcharagh district of Faryab province is brutal and merciless and the incident is in no way justifiable,” he said adding that the leadership of the ministry, after receiving information about this shocking incident, has issued orders to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
He stressed that 10 people have been identified as suspects in connection with the incident, and so far six of them have been arrested, and efforts are underway to arrest the other suspects.
It is worth mentioning that for the past few days, images of a naked and tortured youth, who is said to have been mercilessly tortured in Belcharagh district, have been went on viral on social media.
