KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with Roza Otunbayeva, the head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Ministry said in a statement.
According to the statement, in the meeting, the two sides discussed the upcoming UN-led Doha meeting and the participation of the Islamic Emirate delegation.
Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, said that a delegation led by Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, and representatives of the Ministries of Interior, Commerce, the Central Bank, and the head of the Islamic Emirate’s political office in Qatar, will participate in the Doha meeting, said the statement.
“The Islamic Emirate is fully prepared in the areas of fight against narcotics, financial and banking restrictions, and the removal of restrictions on the private sector,” the statement quoted Mawlavi Muttaqi as saying.
The head of UNAMA also called the third Doha meeting as a good opportunity to express the views and opinions of the parties.
