KABUL: A Chinese citizen named Mali, after Juma (Friday) prayer, converted to Islam in Taliqan’s grand mosque in Takhar on Friday.
“I fell in love with Islam after studying the Holy Quran and this love forced me to believe and accept Islam,” he said.
After accepting Islam, his name was changed from Mali to Abdul Malik.
This is the first time that a Chinese citizen openly accepts the religion of Islam and becomes a Muslim.
