KABUL: Spokesman of the German Social Democrats Party Niels Schmidt, has called on the Prime Minister of that country Olaf Scholz to reopen the German embassy in Kabul.
“Prolonged sanctions are not beneficial to any party and that German diplomats should return to Kabul,” wrote Schmidt in an article for a German media outlet, emphasizing the need to review his country’s current policies towards Afghanistan.
He described the cutting of diplomatic relations and development assistance to Afghanistan as exacerbating the current situation.
Bypassing each day, the world’s countries’ interests are increasing in engaging with the Islamic Emirate and resuming diplomatic relations with Kabul.
