Two water management projects inaugurated in Baghlan, Faryab

KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in a statement today that two water management supply projects were inaugurated in Baghlan and Faryab provinces.
A water supply project with the cost of 10 million Afghanis (some 59,557 US dollars) was implemented with the financial support of the Finance Ministry and DACAAR organization, in Qara Tana village, Almar district of Faryab province.
With the implementation of the project, safe drinking water has been provided to 600 families.
Meanwhile, the ministry said that an irrigation canal with a length of 200 meters has been built in the Mir Ghazi area of the Desalah district of Baghlan province.
Efforts by the Emirati and international institutions are underway for the management of water resources.
