Pakistan PM in Tajikistan to discuss strengthening two countries’ relations in the economic, regional connectivity

KABUL: Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, leading a high-ranking delegation, on a two-day trip, left Islamabad today for Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, Shehbaz said on his X handle.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was accompanied by high-ranking officials including Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

According to reports, the purpose of the Pakistani Prime Minister’s visit to Tajikistan is to strengthen and expand the two countries’ relations in the economic, trade and regional connectivity sectors.

After arriving in Tajikistan, the Pakistani Prime Minister met with Emomali Rahmon, the President of Tajikistan, and Qohir Rasulzoda, the Prime Minister of Tajikistan.

It has been said that Pakistan’s Prime Minister after Tajikistan will travel to Kazakhstan to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
