KABUL: As many as six development projects implemented and two other projects are underway in Paktika and Paktia provinces, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in separate statements.
According to the statement, six of these projects worth 8 million Afghanis were inaugurated and construction work on 2 others worth 4 million Afghanis are underway.
The projects implemented in Paktia included the construction of rural roads, retaining walls and some others, said the statement adding the projects were funded by the UNOPS.
Meanwhile, the statement further said that the work on two water supply networks was launched by the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in the Barmal districts of Paktika province.
