Afghan citizen residence cards (POR) extended for another year in Pakistan

KABUL: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations said in a statement today that the Proof of Registration (POR) cards of Afghan citizens residing in Pakistan have been extended for another year.

According to the statement, the issue of extending the residence cards of Afghan citizens has been officially communicated to the Afghan Embassy in Islamabad.

Based on the official letter of the Pakistani Government, the aforementioned cards will be valid from June 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.

According to the statement, a meeting between the Afghan refugee attachés in Pakistan and the officials of the Pakistani government is scheduled to be held in the upcoming week.

The challenges faced by Afghan refugees in Pakistan will be discussed during this meeting.
