KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, during his stay in Tehran, met with Ahmad Vahidi, the Interior Minister of Iran, Arg said in a statement.
According to the statement, in the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening Iran-Afghanistan relations, resolving the problems of Afghans in Iran, and preventing drug trafficking.
Vahidi, welcoming the Deputy Prime Minister to Iran, said that the visits of high-ranking officials of the two countries have an impact on the expansion of relations between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, expressed gratitude for Iran’s assistance to Afghanistan in various fields and added that positive relations with neighboring countries are an important part of the country’s foreign policy.
He also considered the reduction of cultivation, production and trafficking of narcotics in Afghanistan to be beneficial not only to the country but to the entire region.
