KABUL: United States President Joe Biden has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of talking “nonsense”, Israel’s Channel 12 TV reported on Saturday night, August 3.
According to the TV, Netanyahu spoke with Biden on the phone and expressed readiness to send a delegation to resume peace negotiations regarding the Gaza Strip, but, Biden told Netanyahu to “stop talking nonsense”.
Despite recently escalating tensions and laying the groundwork for an all-out war by assassinating a senior Hamas official [head of the political office of Hamas], the Israeli Prime Minister claimed his country intends to continue ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.
The office of the Israeli Prime Minister did not comment on Biden’s remarks to Netanyahu during their private phone call.
However, the office said Israel expects Washington to refrain from interfering in Israel’s political affairs, just as Israel does not intervene in American politics.
The US has been an unconditional supporter of the Israeli regime during its 8-month-long aggression on the Gaza Strip.
