KABUL: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambassador to Beijing Mawlavi Asadullah Belal Karimi, met with Yue Xiaoyong, China’s special representative for Afghan affairs, the embassy said in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, in the meeting, the two sides, discussed further expanding the relations between Kabul and Beijing, mutual interaction with neighboring and regional countries, strengthening good and economic, bilateral trade and transit, consular relations, and some other issues.
The two sides positively evaluated the current relations between the two countries.
China’s representative for Afghanistan and the Ambassador of the country residing in China also emphasized the need to increase efforts to strengthen the aforementioned areas.
