KABUL: The Revenue and Customs Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Finance Mullah Abdul Qadir, in a press conference, said today that based on the Decree of the Esteemed Supreme Leader Shaikh-ul-Hadith Mawlavi Hibatullah Akhundzada, the taxes on oil, gas, and restaurants have been decreased in the country.
According to the statement, the tax per liter of fuel was 0.5%, but after the issuance of the Decree, the tax decreased to 0.3%.
Also, a 2% tax and more than 5% tax were imposed on mobile hotels and restaurants, whose quarterly revenue was 750,000, but after the issuance of the Decree, all their taxes were reduced to 2%.
Meanwhile, the representative of the Oil Tank Union at the press conference welcomed the Decree of the Esteemed Supreme Leader, and considered it beneficial in reducing the price of oil and gas in the markets.
