Int’l community seeking economic war with Afghanistan through banking restrictions, Economy Minister

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Economy Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, has said that the international community is seeking economic war with Afghanistan by imposing banking restrictions.

He made the remarks, during his trip to Kandahar, in the inauguration ceremony of the woolen textile factory in Kandahar, the ministry said in a statement today.

Despite the imposed restrictions, 227 projects have been implemented across the country, said the statement.

According to the statement, 86 of these projects have been completed, and 141 others are ongoing, said Qari Hanif adding, that all the routine and development expenses of the Islamic Emirate’s budget are financed from domestic revenues.

The woolen textile factory in Kandahar province is set to resume operations during today’s ceremony.
