KABUL: The Acting Minister of National Defense Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, participated in a ceremony held today to fly the repaired aircraft, the ministry said in a statement today.
According to the statement, for the first time after the takeover of the country by the Islamic Emirate, a Y-12 aircraft was repaired by the engineering team of the ministry and flew.
The repaired aircraft was flown by the Air Force pilots in the presence of the Acting Minister of National Defense.
The statement also added that an MD-530 helicopter, which its repair work has been ongoing for several months by professional engineers, has successfully conducted a flight.
In the past three years, thousands of military vehicles, weapons, and aircraft have also been repaired by the engineering team of the Ministry of National Defense.
