KABUL: A total of 55 individuals in connection with various crimes have been arrested by the country’s police forces in 8 provinces of the country in the past 24 hours, The Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement today.
According to the statement, the counter-crime police personnel of the ministry during various operations, detained the individuals in connection with theft, document forgery, escaping from home, keeping illegal weapons, murder, illicit relationships, and drug trafficking in Takhar, Balkh, Nangarhar, Laghman, Helmand, Herat, Kunar and Khost provinces.
The detainees have been transferred to the relevant judiciary organs for investigation into their files, the statement said.
The Ministry of Interior Affairs has consistently emphasized the round-the-clock efforts of the police to prevent security incidents in the country.
