IEA committed to providing more services and facilities to Pamir residents, minister

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Mullah Mohammad Yunus Akhund, during his trip to Wakhan district, Badakhshan province, met with the Kyrgyz residents of the district, the ministry said in a statement.

According to the statement, the Kyrgyz representatives in Wakhan district expressed their pleasure and over meeting Acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of the country.

“After the victory of the Islamic Emirate, more attention and care have been paid to the residents of the Wakhan district,” they said.

According to the statement, they have asked for the construction of a school, a clinic, a madrasa, and the installation of a telecommunications antenna as their long-standing wishes, which have been realized under the rule of the Islamic Emirate.

Meanwhile, Mullah Mohammad Yunus Akhund added that the Islamic Emirate is committed to providing more services and facilities to the residents of the Pamir region of Badakhshan.

At the end of the meeting, which was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, the representative of the Prime Minister’s Economic Deputy, the Governor, and the Police Commander of Badakhshan province, the building of madrassas and its dormitory named “Imam Abu Hanifa” was inaugurated.
