Over 300 projects worth 279 mln Afghani implemented in Helmand, ministry

KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in a statement today that the work on 317 development projects worth 279 million Afghani has been completed and inaugurated in Helmand province

According to the statement, the projects have been funded by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

The projects included the construction and reconstruction of rural roads, cleaning of irrigation canals, construction of bridges, culverts, gabion walls, and retaining walls, said the statement.

The projects have been implemented through the Social and Livelihoods Support Program in various villages of the districts of Nahr-e-Saraj, Greshk, Babaji, Nad Ali, Nawa, and Barkazai in Helmand province.
