Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan trilateral meeting held in Kabul

KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement that a trilateral meeting was held in Kabul, attended by Noorudin Azizi, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Uzbekistan, and Mamadov, the Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan.

According to the statement, the meeting was focused on trade, investment, transportation, construction materials, and geological issues.

In the meeting, the development of trade, investment, transportation and logistics cooperation, construction materials, conducting geological exploration of hydrocarbon and mineral reserves, the mechanism for implementing the cement production project in northern Afghanistan, regional cooperation, effective use of the new Silk Road, railway, and Afghanistan’s active re-engagement in the ECO organization have been discussed, said the statement.

According to the statement, considering developments in the mining sector, sufficient information on the issue and investment opportunities were provided to the meeting participants.

At the end of the meeting, agreement was reached on its continued sustainability and the formation of follow-up working groups.
