August 15, Victory and Conquest Day marked in Russia

KABUL: The country’s Ministry of Information and Culture said in a statement today that in a ceremony August 15, the day of conquest and victory of the Islamic Emirate was also celebrated at the Afghan embassy in Moscow.

According to the statement, the ceremony was attended by the Afghan ambassador to Moscow, the cultural and military attachés, and the youths.

Fazlul Hadi Hamza, the cultural attaché of Afghanistan in Moscow, congratulated August 15 to all the people of Afghanistan and called it a day of pride in the country’s history, the statement said.

“The elders of the Islamic Emirate and the mujahidin gave a lesson to the great empire of the world and its allies on August 15 and established complete independence in the country,” the statement quoted him as saying.

The participating Afghan citizens also expressed their feelings about Victory Day and the conquest of the Islamic Emirate.

It is worth mentioning that yesterday, August 15, was also widely celebrated across the country.
