KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said that during a ceremony held today in Arg, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, five trade and investment arguments were signed between the two countries.
According to the statement, the agreements were signed with the aim of developing and strengthening the relations between Kabul and Tashkent.
The agreements were signed between the Ministries of Finance, Mines and Petroleum, Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of the Islamic Emirate, and their respective counterparts in Uzbekistan.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov said: “We are ready to cooperate with Afghanistan, and the view of our President is that progress is not possible without engagement with the current government [Islamic Emirate].”
