HERAT: The officials of Herat’s Provincial Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, said that the figs yields have increased by 40% in the province compared to the last year.
The farmers complain about the low price of fresh fruits and figs at home and hope that the Afghan government will find markets for their fruits abroad.
It is said that figs have been obtained from 620 hectares of land in Herat, most of which are in the earthquake-affected district (Zinda Jan).
