KABUL: The Acting Minister of Public Health Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, met with Dr. Tajudeen Oyewale, the head of the United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Afghanistan, here in his office, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement, in the meeting, the two sides discussed the state of the healthcare system and the quality of healthcare services in the country.
In the meeting, Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali stressed the importance of providing better and standardized healthcare services in health centers.
He also called for the establishment and equipping of health facilities across the country.
UNICEF officials assured that they will work to improve healthcare services in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health, said the statement.
