KABUL: The Acting Minister of Finance Mullah Mohammad Nasir Akhund met with Stefan Rodriguez, the Chief of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), her in his office, the ministry said in statement on Thursday.
In the meeting, the UNDP chief praising the economic progress in Afghanistan said that the financial and banking sector of the country is currently stable.
According to the statement, he emphasized the need for increased coordination between the Ministry of Finance and UNDP.
Meanwhile, Mullah Mohammad Nasir Akhund expressed gratitude for the activities of the UNDP and urged the United Nations to take advantage of the opportunities available for the implementation of the development projects in the country.
The UNDP has been implementing various projects in rural areas of Afghanistan aimed at improving the well-being of the Afghan people.
