KABUL: Officials of Da Afghanistan Bank (the country’s Central Bank) says that important steps have been taken to regulate, standardize and mechanize the activities of non-banking financial institutions in the light of the law ratified by the esteemed Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlavi Hibatullah Akhundzada.
They made the remarks today at the press conference held at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC) sharing the one year achievements of the bank.
The restrictions imposed on Afghani and dollar bank accounts customers’ have been reduced, and now customers can withdraw 150,000 Afghanis per week instead of 70,000 Afghanis from their Afghani account and 150,000 Afghanis per month and 500,000 Afghanis instead of 250,000 Afghanis, aw well as 200,000 US dollars instead of 1,000 dollars per week and 6,000 dollars instead of 3,000 dollars per month,” said the officials of the bank.
They added that in the last one year, through the implementation of effective monetary policies, the value of the Afghani against foreign currencies has been maintained and effective steps have been taken to control inflation.
