IEA ambassador to China meets president of Central Asia Oil and Gas Company in Beijing

KABUL: The Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in China, Mawlavi Asadullah Bilal Karimi, met with Wen Ben Li, the president of the Central Asia Petroleum and Gas Company (CAPEIC), the embassy said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the statement,  Karimi shared his views on the current state of oil extraction and the implementation of all aspects of the contract with the president of CAPEIC.

The company president called important the project and assured comprehensive efforts to ensure its success.

He added that machinery worth three million US dollars will soon be transferred to Afghanistan to further advance the project.

It is noteworthy that since the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, the People’s Republic of China has made significant investments in Afghanistan’s oil and gas resources.
