Afghan, Chinese joint venture to invest in water dams, ministry

KABUL: Representatives of Haseeb Ashori Company and their Chinese partners, in a meeting with the acting Minister of Water and Energy Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour, said that they are ready to invest in water dams, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
Speaking at the meeting, Mullah Mansour asked them to invest in the Gulbahar and Baghdara water dams, according to the statement.
He also asked the company’s representatives to invest in the Kelagai water dam in Baghlan, Mamai in Takhar and power dams in the Balamurghab river of Badghis province.
After the resumption of the Islamic Emirate, a suitable investment opportunity has been provided as dozens of foreign investors have so far invested in the country’s various sectors.
