KABUL: The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, in an interview with Reuters news agency, said that what is happening in Gaza Strip is unacceptable.
“Accountability regarding the deaths of UN staff and aid workers in Gaza is unacceptable and must be further investigated,” he said, noting that international court decisions regarding the situation in Gaza Strip are not being respected.
He added that since the start of the Israeli Zionist regime’s attacks on Gaza, 300 aid workers, the majority of whom are UN staff, have been killed.
According to reports, six UN staff members were killed on Wednesday as a result of two Israeli airstrikes on a school in Gaza Strip.
Despite ongoing concerns raised by the United Nations, the Zionist regime has yet to pay attention to the protection of civilian lives during its attacks on Gaza.
