Kabul Municipality constructed 125 km of new roads within year, officials

KABUL: The officials of the Kabul Municipality said that 125 kilometers of roads have been newly constructed in Kabul over the past year, including asphalt, concrete, and cobblestone paving. 

The leading body of the Municipality, in a press conference held today at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), sharing the directorate’s one-year achievements, added that 73,853 meters of roads were asphalted and 38,887 meters were repaired by Kabul Municipality.

Also, nearly 10,000 streetlights were installed, 5,000 lights were activated, and six intersections were beautified as well as signs were also installed in 22 districts of the city.

Kabul Municipality officials mentioned the removal of over 2,000 obstacles in the city as another significant efforts.
