IEA revenue increased by 11 Percent in 4 months, Gutterres

  • KABUL: The Secretary General of the United Nations Anthony Gutterres, has accepted the economy-oriented policy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, which has increased Afghanistan’s revenue by 11 percent in the last 4 months.
  • In his quarterly report on the situation in Afghanistan, Gutterres said that Afghanistan’s revenue has reached one billion U.S. dollars in the last 4 months, which shows an increase of 11 percent compared to last year.
  • According to the report, almost 3 billion humanitarian aid has been given to Afghanistan until August 30 of the current year.
  • It should be noted that this is a donation collected from domestic revenue, which is 3 percent more than the set level. On the other hand, the countrymen express their hope that this donation will be spent on such projects, which will provide job opportunities for the youth.
  • Recently, the Ministry of Finance said that based on the decree of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate, it has canceled the outstanding debt of 2.7 billion Afghanis to foreign institutions.
  • “At least 910 million Afghanis have been returned to the World Bank and 1.9 billion Afghanis to the Asian Bank from these foreign institutions,” said the ministry.
  • According to the ministry, the Islamic Emirate has not taken a loan from any foreign country or institution, nor has it asked for a loan from anyone.
  • Previously, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat paid off the debt of 627 million U.S. dollars for imported electricity from four countries.
  • Most of these loans were carried out by the powerful individuals of the previous administration.
